Chinooks New England

Help us celebrate Chinooks New England 10th Anniversary by joining us for the 10th Annual Chinook Winterfest on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008. This event features dog sledding, skijoring, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, walks in the woods and lots of tawny fur. After playing in the outdoors, everyone seeks the warmth of the wood stove, the laughter of friends and great conversation inside. We have great food and a killer silent auction. The event is held at the home of David & Elaine Bradbury in Standish, ME. They open 600 acres of groomed trails for us each year.

What to bring:
- Your dogsled, x-country skis, ice skates, snow shoes, friendly dogs and dog teams.

- Something to secure your dog (leash, crate, lead). For safety concerns, it is vital that dogs are not running off leash while sled teams are on the trail. There will be time for that later!

- A dish for the potluck lunch. CNE! will provide beverages (alcoholic beverages are not allowed at CNE! events). Though it’s not necessary, feel free to consult with the club about what food you plan to bring.

- Items to donate to the Annual Silent Auction and your checkbook. Items in the past have included Chinook memorabilia, dog toys, great books, baskets, and other goodies. Funds raised help to defray the cost of this event.
